Polen ist seit langem ein Land, aus dem Menschen auf der Suche nach einem besseren Leben in den Westen auswandern, z.B. nach Deutschland. In den letzten Jahren hat sich das Wesen Polens jedoch verändert und die Statistiken zeigen, dass Polen ein Aufnahmeland für Einwanderer geworden ist. Was sich nicht ändert, ist die Richtung der Migration – man bewegt sich immer noch hauptsächlich nach dem Prinzip „Go West". Während der Debatte werden wir über diese Veränderungen diskutieren und die Chancen und Herausforderungen der Arbeitsmigration zwischen Deutschland, Polen und der Ukraine beleuchten. Wir werden überlegen, wie Polen von den Erfahrungen anderer Länder profitieren kann um u.a. die Bedingungen im Lande migrantenfreundlich zu gestalten.
An der Diskussion nehmen teil:
· Dr. Kamila Schöll-Mazurek, Forscherin, Expertin, Projektmanagerin und Dozentin, Zentrum für Interdisziplinäre Polenstudien, Europa-Universität Viadrina, Frankfurt (Oder),
· Dr. Olena Babakova, Historikerin, Journalistin, Forscherin über Migrationsprozesse in Mittel- und Osteuropa, Dozentin an der Vistula-Universität für Finanzen und Wirtschaft
· Dr. Paweł Kaczmarczyk, Forscher, Professor an der Universität Warschau, Direktor des Zentrums für Migrationsforschung an der Universität Warschau
Die Moderation der Debatte übernimmt Agnieszka Lichnerowicz, Journalistin von TOK FM.
